Luz Galindo de Rodriguez
I am originally from Colombia, Sur America. My husband, Pastor Javier A. Rodríguez and I moved to Wells, MN in 1999. Now we have five (5) grown children: Maritza (Mark), Ethel (Jonathan), Javier E., Denis K. and Ruth E.. We have seven (7) grand kids and one(1) coming from Colombia. We are a family with three nations that we love: Colombia, United States and Mexico. My first language is Spanish and we love to keep using it.
I was Sunday School teacher in my country and was Spanish teacher for Covenant Life School for about 6 years. Also I have being interpreter for USC district, Law enforcement, DHS of Faribault and Martin Counties (WIC Program, CTC check-ups and evaluations, and Healthy Families departments), Head Start program, and some business in our town. I do Spanish tutoring with individual students.
At USC, I will be teaching Spanish I, II, III and IV. My hope is that students get excited about learning to speak, read and write in Spanish
and recognized the imperative need of bilingual people in USA. Learning more languages give them many new opportunities!
